Diana Barrett

Diana Barrett has lived in Yorkshire for most of her life.

She studied Applied Creative Design, specialising in Textiles, at Hull School of Art and Design.

She works predominantly with paper and wire, creating contemporary pieces which have their roots in traditional techniques. She explores the delicate balance between strength and fragility and how that balance shifts with the passage of time, and uses colour and texture to stir memories of particular places and experiences.
